The conservation area covers at least 45% of Namibia. The Namib-Naukluft Park is a national park of the country encompassing part of the Namib Desert and the Naukluft mountain range. With an overall area of 49,768 km², the Namib-Naukluft is the largest game park in Africa and the fourth largest in the world. We are going to spend 2 nights in the heart of the Namib-Naukluft Park.
DAY 1
Accommodation
NAMIB DESERT LODGE
Set below striking fossilised dunes, the comfortable lodge provides a spectacular experience of ancient desert. 65 private rooms, swimming pools and a waterhole are surrounded by sandy splendour. The Lodge is incredibly beautiful located among the vastness of the Namib Desert and a view of the rocks above. A sunset or early morning drive through the red dunes exploring the sand masterpiece is breathtaking.
Activities
Sundowner drive
Breath in the grandeur on a sunset drive and feel the earth under your feet.
Discover the fossilised dunes, the red dunes above the plateau and the many other wonders of the Namib Desert on this drive around Gondwana Namib Park. Refreshments and a light snack included.
Activities
Sossusvlei – Dune 45
We spend the morning in and around Sossusvlei and drive to Sossusvlei Lodge for lunch, passing by the famous “Dune 45”. Those who feel fit may climb the dune and get a breathtaking view of the surrounding desert. Sossusvlei Lodge is a perfect place to take a short break and enjoy inspiring views towards Elim dune and the ridges of the Naukluft Mountains whilst sipping on some delicious cocktails or refreshments.
Deadvlei
The most recognizable attraction of Namibia. Deadvlei features dozens of dead, structurally intact camel thorn trees that are surrounded entirely by giant sand dunes. The early morning light is best for photography when the warm, low-angled sunlight intensifies the dunes’ bright orange and red hues.
Sesriem Canyon
Before we return to our lodge, as the day cools in the late afternoon we take a short excursion to Sesriem Canyon to admire the remarkable depths of the canyon.

ACTIVITIES
Welwitschia Mirabilis – Centuries old desert plant
The Welwitschia Mirabilis is a plant which is endemic to the Namib desert in Namibia and Southern Angola. Named after Friedrich Welwitsch who “discovered” the plant in 1859, some of the specimens are estimated to be between 1000 and 1500 years old.
Road trip 306 km
Namib Desert Lodge-> Solitaire-> Walvis Bay-> Swakopmund
Tropic of Capricorn and Kuiseb Canyon
On our way we will cross the Tropic of Capricorn and traverse the Gaub and the Kuiseb passes, driving down to the dry river bed at the bottom of the Kuiseb Canyon before climbing up the other side and watching the spectacular desert landscape unfold before us.
Walvis Bay and Swakopmund
Having arrived at the coast, we will make a stop in Walvis Bay to enjoy the view of flamingos and other birds in the lagoon and to visit the salt works. We overnight at the Swakopmund Delight Hotel. Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant.
Solitaire
Solitaire is a small settlement in the Khomas Region of central Namibia near the Namib-Naukluft National Park. It currently features the only gasoline station, bakery, cafe, and the only general dealer between the dunes at Sossusvlei and the coast, Walvis Bay.
“NAMIBIA IS A COUNTRY OF CONTRASTS”
Namibia is a country of contrasts. There are magical places where the dunes meet the sea. Today we will experience both at extremely close range. The adventure is the ultimate combination of a leisure cruise on the Atlantic Ocean and a 4×4 dune drive.
DAY 4
Road trip 98 km
Swakopmund->Walvis Bay->
Sandwich Harbour-> Swakopmund
“NAMIBIA IS A COUNTRY OF CONTRASTS”

The Dune Drive
The Dune Drive tour starts early
afternoon in Walvis Bay Water Front.
Our first stop will be at the Walvis Bay Lagoon.
We then continue to the large salt
evaporation ponds. Finally, we drive through
the river bed into the Kuiseb Delta, a dry
riverbed full of history of the Topnaar people,
whose ancestors have been living in the delta
for centuries. Animals such as springbok
come to seek for food and water in the Kuiseb
Delta. Our access to Sandwich Habour will
depend on the weather and the tides. The best
way of experiencing these rich and unique
wetlands is by foot or by car. If the weather or
tides do not allow us to access the Harbour
directly, we will view it from a viewing point
on top of the dune where one can easily make
out the Harbour and the wildlife.
Your guide will find a suitable place along the
beach or elsewhere (depending on the
weather) to serve a light lunch with
a selection of snacks, bread, some fresh
Walvis Bay oysters, sparkling wine and other
drinks. All equipment for this picnic will be
provided. You can sit back and enjoy the
view.

This place is magical where the
dunes meet the sea. The Sand
Sea Dunes that run straight
into the ocean create beautiful
scenery and unique
landscapes. We will start with
the Catamaran Cruise in the
morning. On the cruise, you
will get the chance to see flying
pelicans, seals, old wrecks
and new ships, and if you are
lucky we may see the endemic
Beguile dolphins and many
other sea wildlife.
Jetty 1905 Restaurant
In the evening we will visit a local restaurant situated at the end of the historical jetty. Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, we will watch the sunset as we wait to be served at the most recognizable restaurant of the Namibian coast.

Accommodation
Twyfelfontein Country Lodge
Nestled along the mountainside, the lodge beautifully blends in with its surrounding environment. Using natural stone, carefully
selected paint colours and thatched roofs, its design compliments the sandstone rock formations with minimum visual impact on this picturesque landscape. Magnificent views from the deck over the Huab Valley, desert plains and distant mountains provides for hours of relaxed comfort, peace and tranquility. Twyfelfontein is much more than just accommodation, it is a destination in itself.
Living Museum of Damara
We will visit the Living Museum of Damara and experience traditional life in the village- the daily routine in the museum, including a traditional blacksmith (making of weapons and tools), tanning of leather (production of traditional clothes), jewellery and crafts, dancing, singing and traditional games, Holy Fire, fire making and much more. The program will take around 1.5 hours, but we can stay as long as desired.
Ancient rock engravings
Historic destination featuring ancient rock engravings by hunter-gatherers & Khoikhoi herders. Among the red sandstone boulders
and hills at Twyfelfontein is the most impressive collection of petroglyphs in Africa. Around 2,500 ancient rock paintings and engravings feature animals, tracks and abstract symbols. The exact age is unknown but archaeological evidence indicates that hunter/gatherers lived here more than 7,000 years ago.
Petrified Forest
Over 200 million years ago, a great flood swept enormous trees into the desert. These trees were fossilised by the sand and formed what is now a Petrified Forest.
DAY 6
Etosha National Park is unique in Africa. The park’s main characteristic is a salt pan so large it can be seen from space. Yet there is abundant wildlife that congregates around the waterholes, giving you almost guaranteed game sightings. At the same time Etosha National Park is one of the most accessible game reserves in Namibia and Southern Africa.

Near Khorixas there is a nucleus of fascinating geological formations: Vingerklip is a striking finger of rock that rises vertically out of the plains while around it the lava-formed flat-tops which looks like a snapshot of Arizona.
Game drive into Etosha
We will spend the rest of the day game driving. We will visit a number of waterholes and make a stop at the Etosha Pan, the “place of dry water”. The Pan is an extensive flat depression of about 5,000 square km. This great, white expanse is a place of shimmering mirages and seeing large herds of game in this setting makes Etosha a unique experience.
ETOSHA SAFARI LODGE
Sip on a drink while watching the ruby sun dip into the mopane woodland. Perched on a hill with expansive views, this stylish lodge offers 65 chalets that provide a peaceful base from which to explore the animal bounty of Etosha National Park. TIME TO GO BACK TO WINDHOEK BUT THAT IS NOT THE END OF ATTRACTIONS…
ACTIVITIES
Cheetah Conservation Fund
In the last 100 years, the world has lost 90% of the wild cheetah population. Today, one-third of wild cheetahs live in southern Africa. CCF is working across Africa to save the species throughout its range. The only chance to meet these creatures at extremely close range.
Okahandja Woodmarket
This craft market is Okahandja’s
best known tourist attraction.
Woodcarvers from all over, and
as far as the Kavango Region of
north-eastern Namibia, who
practice their ancient skills come
here to sell their art. Since
wood is not resistant to the wear
and tear of time, wood sculptures
survive less well than other forms
of art and are therefore an
important hidden element in the
art history of many cultures.
